Product Description The first slim filter with front thread for lens caps and filters the XS-PRO Digital Filter mounts are especially suited for SLRs with wide-angle and zoom lenses.The thin design prevents the mount from vignetting in wide shots.They also have a front thread for filters,lens caps and hoods.All XS-PRO Digital mounts are made of brass for long lasting quality and are matt black to prevent reflections.This is the very popular ultra violet-haze filter from B+W with 010 multi resitant coating protection to prevent flaring.Its a slim line ring so there is no vignetting on wide angle shots.Normaly people dont prefer slim filters because they cant hold lens caps but the xs pro filter special design has front threads so you can keep your filter on the lens at all times and use the original lens cap. Excellent 77mm filter, easily (and firmly) holds a standard Nikon lens cap in the front threads. Quality is great, arrived new as stated, no blemishes or defects on the glass or on the ring. Precision threading works well when mounting onto the lense, no binding or early tightening. No discernable distortion was noticed when using a 17-35mm 2.8 on a FF Nikon body. Costs more than the slim version without front threads, but this small cost difference is better than constant reseating, or dropping and losing a loose fitting cap.
