This lens enables the shooting of full-frame fisheye images with a 180° angle of view and a focal length of 10mm. Employing ED Extra-low Dispersion glass, this lens effectively compensates to overcome chromatic aberration throughout the image. The image circle of the lens has been created to match the smaller image recording area of digital SLR cameras. WP Water Proof coating made of a special fluoride compound has been applied to the front surface of the new lens An internal focus system allows photographers to focus from as close as approx. 1" approx. 2.5 cm, giving them the power to fill the whole frame The Tokina AT-X 107 DX, For Nikon is a fish-eye lens that gives the digital photographer an approximate 180 Deg field of view with dramatic curvature of field or fish-eye effect. With this lens an entire view or vista can be captured, wider than the human eye can see. The AT-X 107 opens an entirely new dimension of photography. Unlike other fish-lenses, the AT-X 107 DX gives a full corner-to-corner image.  The front element of the AT-X 107 DX has a newly formulated WP or AgWater ProofAh optical coating on the glass. This new coating makes marks such as spots left by water or finger-prints much easier to clean than standard multi-coating.The rear optical group of the lens contains 1 SD (Super-Low Dispersion) glass element to reduce the number of elements (pieces of glass) in the optical design in order to make the lens more compact, light-weight and faster focusing.Note: This lens is designed to work with cameras that have an APS-C sized sensor only. Great for close up nature photography, and you are able to get the flower in focus along with the entire garden in the background. The visual distortion makes some interesting photos at the 10 mm zoom level. Combine this lens with the nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens and that is all you need to carry on any trip. I did not see any flare except when shooting into the sun. Lens is 15 ounces, matte finish without a professional look as good as any nikon or canon lens.
