This is an fantastic replacement battery for the FM70. I recently purchased a Sony HDR-XR520V HD camcorder. When using a Sony FM70 battery, on full charge, I get 145 minutes of HD video recording. With this battery I was amazed to see 210 minutes. It's well worth the cost AND it's cheaper than the actual FM70 itself. Better yet you wont find yourself wanting to buy an FM100 (which is huge) as this adds enough runtime over the FM70 to make anyone happy. With two of these you won't find yourself running out of power for a days worth on non-stop video capture. I ran the battery empty twice on a recent trip to Vegas and each charge gave the full runtime. Not much of a test of quality but I have no reason to doubt it won't continue to perform well for a long time to come.
