Universal Red Safelight 6 watt Fits standard household light socket 11 watt lamp fits any standard 110 volt lamp fixture. Universal red color makes it safe for standard photographic and litho-orthochromatic materials, contact duplicating and diffusion transfer materials. This bulb is for my darkroom (if you have to ask what that is, you probably don't need it.)I resisted buying the thing because of price but finally made the purchase. Good decision. My hardware store red bulbs are not the right red and fog film easily. Even when I recoated with my wife's red fingernail polish, they hardware store ones still fogged.I was so surprised by the brightness of this bulb that I did a film fog test before committing to image film.
