If you're looking for a gray background, go much darker than this. It's more like a dirty white, but it will have to do. The cost to ship it back just isn't worth it since it weighs 30 pounds. From what I've been reading about these backgrounds, the color on the screen is darker than what you'll actually get, so keep that in mind when ordering.
