4" long; Clamps onto most standard sized stands Five 5 Muslin/paper clamps From the Manufacturer These CowboyStudio Set of 5 Universal Pro Clamps are easy to use and would be a great addition to your studio. These clamps are extremely useful in positioning or stretching your background onto backdrop support systems. Clamps are perfect when you need to attach any kind of fabric background to a support system. They work perfectly for Muslin, paper, and even canvas backdrops. These clamps are also known as spring clamps, A-clamps, and even studio tongs. Specifications: 4" long Clamps onto most standard sized stands Directions: Assemble your backdrop stand. Lower the top bar so that it is about waist level and within reaching distance. Clamp five muslin clamps to the top bar so they are evenly spaced. Squeeze the handles together to open the clamp and slide onto the bar. The closed end should be facing downward with the open handles pointing upward. Unfold your muslin backdrop and bring it to the front of the stand. Bring the top, left corner of the backdrop to the top, left corner of the stand and squeeze open a clamp just enough to slide the corner of the muslin under. Work your way across the top of the backdrop stand sliding the backdrop under each clamp as you go. Slide the clamps from side to side with the backdrop underneath to achieve the desired stretch of the backdrop. Add additional clamps if needed. Raise the sides of the backdrop stands to the desired height. Pull the sides of the backdrop out to the sides of the stands and overlap them onto the poles. Squeeze a clamp open and place it near the top of the pole. Slide the backdrop under the clamp. Add an extra two or three clamps down the side of the stand if needed. Clamp down each side of the muslin onto the stands adjusting the tautness as you go.
