This is a brand new fully coated optical glass filter made in JAPAN. It is top quality, as good or better than big brands like Hoya or Tiffen but these two companies do not make 43mm color filters anymore, too bad. The rings are threaded front and back, made of metal not plastic. The glass is top quality Optical glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
