It is perfect for my camera. I have an olympus tough 800 which fits perfectly. I just let the wrist strap hang out from the end. It looks like a cell phone holder when worn on a belt. I think it is expecially usefull when the lens cover is open and you want access for a quick photo. The magnetic closure is nice and quiet. I have only had one instance of it opening when I didn't want to and that was when the seatbelt caught it while exiting my vehicle. However, that being said you don't have to worry about the velcro sound. And when walking around a store you don't have people wondering why you have a camera around your wrist. One thing I would add not specifically related to this product would be to purchase the Olympus 202316 Water-Ready Adjustable Strap. it doesn't add much bulk when compared to the chinchy (sp?) factory supplied strap. It holds up to sweat and water if you have one of the Waterproof/resistant units. It should not be confused with the floatable strap which is another item. I digress, but The Case is an excellent buy and I highly recommend it. I haven't written many reviews in the past, but since I rely on them I thought I would start. Hope this was useful to you.
